2. Leer plannen
Plan wat je gaat koken. Kook voor twee dagen en vries de helft in. Maak ’s avonds brood klaar. Leg tassen en kleding klaar. Plan ook een avondje voor jezelf. Effe niks, geen moeder zijn.
3. Ga netwerken
Doe niet moeilijk met vriendjes en vriendinnetjes meenemen. In een vol huis speelt iedereen met iedereen en als je het een beetje strak regelt, heeft iedereen het leuk met elkaar en hoef jij ze niet te entertainen. Zorg er wel voor dat de hele bups ook een keer allemaal tegelijk bij anderen spelen. Of nog fijner, ergens logeren.
4. Begin de dag rustig
Sta 10 minuutjes eerder op, zodat je de dag rustig kan beginnen met bijvoorbeeld een meditatie of het doen van de zonnegroet. Of kijk even het nieuws.
5. Beweeg
Liggen de kinderen eindelijk in bed? Ga dan niet op de bank hangen, maar loop even een rondje in de buurt. Hardlopen is prima, maar wandelen bijna net zo goed. Breng de kinderen zoveel mogelijk lopend of met de fiets overal naar toe. Met de fiets weet je precies hoe lang alles duurt en mis je de file- en omleidingsstress.
6. Wees mindful
Wel eens van mindfulness gehoord? Het schijnt verbluffende resultaten te geven. Je wordt er echt rustiger van en slaapt een stuk lekkerder. ‘s Avonds geen tv, mail en appjes kijken. Het blauwe licht houdt je uit je slaap. Mindfulness werkt zelfs de hele dag door. Echt iets voor moeders die op het randje van een zenuwinzinking zitten.
7. Neem een douche
Drukke dag gehad? Neem dan in plaats van voor de tv te duiken, een lekkere lange warme douche. Laat alles van je afglijden en ga fris je bed in.
8. Drink veel water
Water drinken is heel erg goed voor je. Het voert alle afvalstoffen eerder uit je lichaam. Zet een fles op de aanrecht of neem een fles water mee naar je werk. Die moet gewoon op!
9. Stop met suiker
Suiker is vergif. Je wordt er moe van en daardoor kun je geprikkeld reageren op je kind(eren). De eerste dagen zonder suiker zijn misschien niet leuk, maar je lichaam is er zó aan gewend en na een paar dagen weet je niet beter! En datzelfde geldt ook voor je kinderen. Veel kinderen kunnen gewoon niet zo goed tegen suiker, die zijn zonder een stuk rustiger.
10. Vraag om hulp
Vraag om hulp als het je echt teveel wordt. Dat is geen teken van zwakte, maar juist van sterkte. Soms is alles gewoon even teveel. Dan is een helpende hand heel fijn en kun jij er daarna weer vrolijk tegenaan.
